Mouse does not need any introduction. Come on, we use it all the time when using computer. However, mouse that most of us use are decent and very functional. Now here are few mouse (concept mouse) that looks anything but mouse.
These are concept mouse that you can surely get to flaunt the design. Not sure how well they work as compared to good old standard mouse. Fun begins now…

  • The Body Mouse

  • The Inflatable Mouse

This is one funny mouse. To use it, you have to fill it up with air, and let the air escape when not in use. When deflated, it can be folded and put in almost any place you can think of. When in use you get a feeling of soft jelly or a baloon, hence the name Jelly Click.

  • The heartbeat indicator mouse :
Put your palm on this one and it will tell count your heart beats for you.
It also sends the information to hospital or a cell phone via network or internet on a time schedule. It will also remind the users how long they have worked.

mighty mighty strange mouse
im sure everyone who would be interested in hearing this already knows about it but i figured i put my two cents out there. im talking about the new mouse that apple has released, the might mouse. i know that they have somehow gotten away with some pretty odd product names in the past but for whatever reason i think they have pushed the strange name thing just a step to far this time around. its just too goofy for its own good but this is aside from the point right? right.

i think the mouse has a nice concept with the two buttons in one and the little scroll ball for scrolling. i think it works well on paper however in the end it leaves something to be desired. the right button has to be clicked without touching the other side of the mouse so you have to kind of lift your index finger up to right click which kind of resembles a dog lifting its leg to... well you understand. this was really frustrating at first but i find myself getting used to it pretty quick and i dont really mind all to much.

now the outside "fourth" button. again, i can see this being an ok idea but its just not working like i want it to. i pinch the mouse to lift it as i drag something on the screen and of course when i do this it triggers the action i assign to it every time i do this. how could this possibly work? i have this function turned off on the mouse. there does not seem to be much thought put into this feature other than, "hey, it might be kind of cool to make this a button." they need to leave these little pinchers alone. if they want some more touchy buttons why not make something like the touch sensitive third gen ipod buttons or something?

now for the little scroll ball. again, its a great idea but it ended up a little strange when it came to actually using it. i imagined it would be like the little do-dad on some pc laptops like ibm's think pad series but its an actual little ball in there. i have gotten used to using the little ball to navigate pages and the more i use it, the more natural it feels. the one other thing i could say about it is that the ball seems too small. after using it for a little while it makes my finger feel strange.i dont know how to explain it. its just not agreeing with me for whatever reason. the ball needs to be a bit bigger i think so its more smooth and not so pokey.

my over all opinion on the mouse is simply that it feels a little unfinished. im used to apple products being really solid and well thought out but this seems a little thrown together and not quite polished. maybe in future revisions we will see some cleaner functionality and a tighter gap between concept and the final product.

Grands Of Dalvey Mouse For Stylish Businessmen

Grands of Dalvey Mouse

If you’re stylish and fancy you got to have this stainless steel Grands of Dalvey mouse. Priced at $89, this mouse is not only posh, but it is hi-tech too, being a 800dpi optical mouse. Its strange blue backlight and his translucent wheel help giving him a neat look.
Its round design makes me think is more suited for women, but the stainless steel is a fingerprint for masculinity. Speaking of fingerprints, its shiny surface may make you leave yours on it, making his mouse a bit hard to maintain clean.

Elecom Soap Mouse

Elecom Soap Mouse

Here is another strange product straight out of Japan. Elecom just launched the USB mouse that looks like a bar of soap (on a rope). Dubbed as the SOAP, the Elecom M-SP1UR/ M-SP2UR optical mouse features a 800dpi resolution and weights at only 65-grams. The “soap” uses the USB interface to connect with the computer. Available in three different colors, the Elecon SOAP retails for 2000 Yen or approx. $21 a pop.
Green Grass mouse
grass_mouse

Created by Japanese artist Hanaoka, the Siva mouse is part of a series of grass-covered objects he’s produced for the world to enjoy. This mouse is just one of many grassy items that Hanaoka has created over the years, and while the grassy mouse it’s not currently for sale, there are a variety of other grass-covered stuffs over at his website. As an added bonus, 50% of the proceeds from his product sales go to a non-profit group called Shibafu Spirit, which helps bring live greenery to Osaka’s schoolyards.
While I’m not sure about the practicality of this thing, I really do appreciate the concept of bringing a bit of nature to our drab, fluorescent-lit cube farms now and again. Also, I don’t know if it’s a good idea to pour water on your mouse either.

Ergonomically designed "ANAPA" vertical mouse looks good

vaax_vertical-mouse2.jpg

We haven't seen many mice with strange shapes, except for finger mouse. But this so-called "vertical" mouse definitely looks better than the wireless finger mouse. VAAX's (a Korean company) vertical mouse is an ergonomically designed product to keep you comfortable and relaxed while you perform normal computation. Designed as an airship, the mouse offers commendable 1600dpi resolution and sports some special 3D button. It is powered by 2.4GHz radio technology and is now available in Korean market for $43.

  1. If your mouse pad is small and have got a rough pad, working on it can be quite difficult. So before buying I think, analyse its effectiveness and durability for several times. comfortable mouse pad is very important for smooth and comfortable using.
