Abnormal Deform Stardust Armchairs

Designer Milena Krais has developed series of furniture called 'deform furniture' which looks abnormal, strange and creative. From the series 'deform furniture', we are going to show you an armchair that is unique and a kind of fabulous. The beautiful knitted surface and unique color contrasts to its very own strange form. While deform helping to commute between a beautiful and ugly side it is also reflecting our human imperfection. Each chair has lumps and swellings which show its own little defect.

 The base of every Deform creation is a regular frame. In the selection process designer chooses different types for the main concept to show each chairs own character. Modelling the surface and deformation to create a new shape with polyester fleece. Different yarn materials like cotton, wool or acryl are used to correspond with the color concept since each chair has its own color. The last part of producing Deform furniture is also purely handcrafted. The knitted textile pieces are stitched together and the final form begins to appear. During this last process a lot of adjustments are done and photos are taken from different viewpoints to get a realistic previews of the work.
