Hexagon is a structure that represents balance and stability. Folks at Solgaard Design have created some beautiful timepieces emphasizing the hexagonal design.
The specialty of these watches is that, The hexagon shape allows your brain to easily translate which sides are up and down faster than a circle – thus allowing you to tell time faster. It's almost as if they were built specifically for us.
The concept behind this Hex structure is that the corners of each of the hexagons are distinct, which makes it simple for your brain to process which is right side up. It's easy to see 1/3/5/7/9/11 O'clock, then the flat sides make it easy to see 12/2/4/6/8/10 O’clock thus shaving off about ½ a second each time you look down at your wrist. Simple, yet effective!
