The Boston Dynamics teaches SpotMini to fight back

The previously introduced SpotMini by Boston dynamics has now returned with combat skills. Last time the Boston dynamics put a video which showed how SpotMini can open the door handle and enter through it without any hassle.

Now another video has been released where four legged Spot can fight back. The video starts with the SpotMini approaching towards the door. But here another human accompanies him with an ice hockey tryna distract SpotMini. Then again if that assault wasn’t enough, the human’s robot bullying continues, shutting the door on Spot, which counterbalances and fights back against the pressure.

The Boston dynamics claims that this is a test of SpotMini’s ability to adjust to disturbances as it opens and walks through a door. They say that the ability to tolerate and respond automatically to disturbances like these improves the successful operation of the robot.
