BlindMaps Gives Eyes to Visually Impaired

Blind Maps project is the result of a 36 hours project at CIID together by Ruben Van Der Vleuten, Andrew Spitz and Markus Schmeiduch. "Blind Maps is a navigation system for the iPhone. The concept focuses on the visually impaired, and explores a device to improve their ability to discover and navigate confidently through a city. By connecting the device to an iPhone, the user receives real-time tangible feedback on the route through a braille-like interface." Don't be surprised if you find a visually impaired person walking on the street without any help!!
