Loupe Remote Control Concept

Designer Sarah Gao in collaboration with Beata Patašiūtė, designed the loupe smart TV remote control concept. Designer's challenge was to rethink a new approach to the outdated traditional remote control to the Nantes based company 4MOD. Finally, designers chose the idea of a "magnifying glass", a remote that would reveal all the intricate and complex features to the user. Focused more on the older generation, those that might need more assistance understanding the swiftly advancing TV technology. The remote itself would also have actual magnifying features to facilitate helping this demographic and translating almost an analog, understandable method into newer technology. This remote would be the user's highly personalized friend, following the trend of individualized "smart" technologies and devices.
