REK Pll-out Bookshelf

Rotterdam-based designer Reinier de Jong came up with an expandable book shelve design. The 'REK bookcase' expands and collapses like an accordion to eliminate negative space on the shelf. As you book collection grows, the shelves can be pulled apart in a configuration of your choosing. Made of natural, poplar and light weight wood, you can draw and push the separated five parts of this stylish bookshelf to suit the different sizes of books and according to the space you have.
