Seventy-six years ago, this very limited edition Bugatti rolled out of production and into the top prize at Concours d’Elegance. The 1935 Bugatti Type 57 Grand Raid Roadster is one of ten ever built, and one of two with a custom interior and rumble seat by the Swiss auto group Carrosserie Worblaufen.

There’s something really special about the Bugattis of this decade. We’ve covered the famed 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, but the Grand Rais Roadster is deserving of equivalent acclaim. This open-cockpit model maintains the art deco feel of the mid-30s Bugattis in a stunning fashion. It may not have that skull-covered roof of the Atlantic, but hey– sometimes its better to go topless. The 1935 Bugatti Type 57 Grand Rais Roadster is slated to sell for over $1,000,000 at the RM Auction this August. [via autoblog]
