Ikea Place Lets you Virtually ‘Place’ Furnishings in Your Space

The buying decisions are always tough. Specially when you buy furniture, the size, quality and the design should fit to the place where you are going to place it. With the release of iOS 11, Ikea has released its own AR app to help customers visualize how their favorite furniture might look like if they place it at a specific location using 'IKEA Place' which lets you virtually 'place' IKEA products in your space. Now, you can take your buying decision without arguing with your significant other inside the Swedish furniture conglomerate.

The app includes 3D and true-to-scale models of everything from sofas and armchairs to footstools and coffee tables, you can choose from 2,000 products currently listed in the app. IKEA Place gives you an accurate impression of the furniture’s size, design and functionality in your home so you can stop wondering and start doing.

The app is specifically designed for apple's ARKit which is compatible with A9 processor running iOS 11 which is iPhone 6s and newer or iPad Pro / 9.7-inch iPad. This app is available for free download from the App Store and it looks like it’s only available in the US.
