Shiftpod 2 is an Advanced Shelter System

After 20-plus years camping in a million different ways at Burning Man, Christian Weber has come up with a solution to diminish the struggles we go through while camping outdoors.

Shiftpod 2 is a hexagonal shelter which offers insulation and respite from the withering heat or bitter cold. An easy-to-construct camping shelter, it’s big enough to fit a queen-sized bed and plenty of gear. Most people can comfortably stand up in it without having to lower their heads.

Shiftpod set up as one complete unit.  The stakes and lines are the only parts you have to connect once the Shiftpod is set up.  The Shiftpods are 12 feet across and 6.5 feet tall and can be set up by one person in less than 2 minutes. It is made out of sturdy and weather-proof materials. They are made with a three-layer, insulated, UV-reflective nylon that reflects the sun’s rays to keep things cool inside during the heat of the day and warm all night.

There are six portal windows that allow exterior light to filter into the structure without compromising interior temperatures. Waterproof zippers help to keep both moisture and sand at bay. The floor can even be zipped out for quick and easy cleaning, and the tent even comes with high-quality stakes and two combination locks to secure the door.

The only cons about these Shiftpods are that they are heavy, weighing about 60 pounds and costs $1,500.Thousands of Shiftpod shelters have been sold, and are being used in disaster relief areas globally. Now the company has its own cryptocurrency. So we could say with confidence that the  Shiftpods are a huge success!
